Woods confesses infidelity, takes break from golf

New York, Dec 12: Tiger Woods has for the first time admitted to committing infidelity and has decided to take an 'indefinite break' from golf to work on his personal life.

"What's most important now is that my family has the time, privacy, and safe haven we will need for personal healing." the golfer writes on his official website while speaking on 'taking hiatus from golf'.

Tiger Woods is reportedly in his Florida mansion taking time off and trying to recoup from the injuries he sustained during an accident outside his house in Nov 2009.

Woods' multiple extramarital affairs were exposed after his car accident.

"I am deeply aware of the disappointment and hurt that my infidelity has caused to so many people, most of all my wife and children. I want to say again to everyone that I am profoundly sorry and that I ask forgiveness," an apologetic Woods wrote on his website.
