World Cup Probe Committee completes inquiry on flop WC campaign
Lahore, May 1 (UNI) The Performance Evaluation Committee appointed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to probe the Inzamam-led team's disastrous show at the World Cup in West Indies, has completed its inquiry, the report of which will be presented to the Board chairman.
''The specially constituted committee will present its report to PCB chairman Nasim Ashraf on his return from abroad,'' a PCB spokesman told Daily Times.
''On the last day of its inquiry, the committee listened to the officials of three district cricket associations of NWFP.
''Those interviewed by the committee were Wisal Muhammad Durrani (Peshawar), Aamir Nawab (Abbottabad) and Muttiullah (Swabi),'' the spokesman added.
The World Cup Probe Committee, comprising Committee chairman Ejaz Butt and member Salahuddin Ahmad also interviewed the district cricket associations' representatives, who informed the Board about the problems faced by the regional associations in terms of selecting their teams and the performances of their coaches.
The third member of the committee, Salim Altaf, is abroad to attend the ICC meetings.
