World Military Games begin tomorrow

Hyderabad, Oct 13 (UNI) President Pratibha Patil will inaugurate the Fourth World Military Games here tomorrow.

Supreme Commander of Armed Forces, Ms Patil would inaugurate the mega sports event, being held a year ahead of the Olympics, to promote ''sports for peace among the nations.'' Over 6,000 participants from 107 member-countries and four observer countries would take part in this edition of the Games, held for the first time in Asia.

Defence Minister A K Antony and Chief of the Army Staff General Deepak Kapoor would also participate in the event.

An elaborate security arrangement has been put in place in view of the event.
