WTC, KYA winners at sailing championship

Kochi, Jan 23 (UNI) Watermanship Training Centre (WTC) Chilka and Kerala Yatching Association took the top honours in the first and second legs, respectively in the National Offshore Sailing Championship, which concluded here today.

In the first leg from Kochi to Kavaratti, WTC Mandovi came second and WTC Mumbai took the third position, while in the second leg back to Kochi, WTC Kochi and WTC Chilka came second and third.

Eight teams participated in the championship, ''Ocean Blue,'' which was flagged off on January 12 and covered 1,200 kms in both the legs.

Offshore Sailing Association of India President Vice Admiral Sunil K Damle gave away prizes to the winners.
