WTT Feeder Pristhina: Syndrela Das, Divyanshi Bhowmick Clinch Women's Doubles Crown in Pulsating Final

In a pulsating final at the WTT Feeder Prishtina 2026, the young Indian pair Syndrela Das and Divyanshi Bhowmick staged a remarkable comeback to defeat the fourth-seeded Japanese duo Sachi Aoki and Cocona Muramatsu 3-2 in the Women’s Doubles final.

The Bengali duo of India has been excellent in recent times, and they showcased their class in the final at the capital of Kosovo, thus clinching the title in excellent fashion.

The Japanese pair started strongly, taking the opening game 11-7. However, Das and Bhowmick responded brilliantly, edging the second game 14-12. The see-saw battle continued as Aoki/Muramatsu claimed the third game 14-12, only for the Indians to level the match with a commanding 11-8 victory in the fourth game.

In the decisive fifth game, the Indian teenagers held their nerve and closed it out 11-7, sealing a hard-fought victory after more than 33 minutes of intense table tennis. They had four game points and despite conceding one, a mistake and an overhit shot from one of the Japanese players earned them the victory.

The youngsters have made a formidable partnership in women's doubles and earlier won a doubles title at the WTT Cappadocia as well.

This triumph marks a significant milestone for the Indian duo. Both players, still in their mid-teens, have been making waves on the international circuit. Their composure under pressure against more experienced opponents highlights their rapid rise in the sport.

Das and Bhowmick’s coordinated attacks, solid defensive returns, and smart shot selection proved decisive. The win is expected to boost their world rankings and confidence as they head into future international assignments.

Divyanshi has also progressed to the Women's Singles final and she will take on Chinese Taipei's Yeh Yi-Tian later today.
