The Table Tennis battle at the WTT Feeder Vadodara 2026 event saw a unique battle, as it was a clash between Shah and Modi in the table.
Two paddlers, one from Gujarat and the other from Maharashtra, but with familiar surnames, lock horns in the Round of 16 of the competition. The top seed Manush Shah was up against a talented Jash Modi and was tested on the table.

Despite a gulf between their ranks, Manush Shah was put under some challenge by the youngster. Manush took the first set 10-7, but Jash came back strongly in the 2nd set. After dodging a few slams from Manush, Jash negotiated well and then rallied back to win the second set.
But the class of the No. 75 in the world was on display as the local boy secured the next two sets 11-6 and 11-7 to seal his place in the quarterfinals. In the battle between Shah and Modi, the former thrived and will now face Priyanuj Bhattacharya.
In his match, Assam's Priyanuj Bhattacharya had to fight, but he grinded hard and came away with a win. The U19 youth contender winner played against Yashansh Malik and won it 11-3, 4-11, 6-11, 11-6 and 11-8. He came back from a set deficit and clinched the victory with a convincing rally in the final set.
In other clashes, Snehit Suravajjula beat Divyansh Srivastava, while Ankur Bhattacharjee also went past the Mudit Dani challenge.
