Youzhny pulls out of Halle with back injury
HALLE, Germany, June 14 (Reuters) Mikhail Youzhny pulled out of the Halle Open grasscourt tournament today because of a back injury.
Youzhny, the Russian sixth seed, needed treatment on his back to get through Wednesday's second round victory over Simon Stadler and today organisers announced that he would not be able to continue in the tournament.
The injury means Tomas Berdych, the Czech fourth seed who was due to play Youzhny in the quarter-finals on Friday, will go through to the last four.
