Japanese kickboxing sensation Yuki Yoza is all set to make a thunderous entrance into ONE Championship this Friday as he squares off against the formidable Russian striker Elbrus Osmanov in a bantamweight showdown at ONE Friday Fights 109.
A former K-1 titleholder, Yoza has built a reputation as one of the most dynamic and skilled strikers in the sport today. At just 27, the Japanese powerhouse holds a stellar 19-2 professional record, which includes a high-profile win over ex-ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Petchdam Petchyindee Academy.

Eager to begin his ONE journey, Yoza is embracing the anticipation surrounding his debut and is clear about his mission-reaching the top as quickly as possible.
"This long-awaited ONE debut is incredibly exciting for me, but I also understand that fans' expectations are just as high right now. I want to dominate completely and take the shortest path to the belt," Yoza said.
Assessing his opponent, Yoza acknowledged the unique challenge Osmanov presents. Known for his explosive and unorthodox karate-style offense, the Russian fighter has made a name for himself with his versatility and strength.
"[Osmanov] really gives me that 'Russian karate fighter' impression. He can throw spinning back kicks explosively from any distance, and he's physically strong in a straightforward way. I'm very good against karate-style fighters, so I think this is a great matchup for me."
Osmanov enters the bout with significant momentum, having compiled a six-fight unbeaten streak in the ONE Friday Fights series. He's proven a tough puzzle for all challengers so far, which sets the stage for an electrifying clash.
Training alongside elite names like Japanese icon Takeru Segawa and interim ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Masaaki Noiri, Yoza feels battle-ready. He insists that if the opportunity presents itself, he'll be aiming for a definitive finish.
"I've prepared for a three-round battle in case it goes that way with a decision," Yoza said. "However, I'm only aiming for a knockout, so I want to use the full three rounds to finish him. Rather than just knock him out, I want to break his spirit."
