Yuya Wakamatsu Vs. Joshua Pacio, Denice Zamboanga Vs. Jarred Brooks World Title Fights Set For ONE 173

ONE Championship has just revealed two more electrifying World Title bouts for ONE 173: Superbon Vs. Noiri, set to take place at Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan, on 16 November later this year.

First, it's champion vs. champion in an explosive showdown as ONE Flyweight MMA World Champion Yuya Wakamatsu puts his title on the line against reigning ONE Strawweight MMA World Champion Joshua Pacio, who moves up a division to face the Japanese hero.

Years of hard work paid off for Wakamatsu when he defeated the former multiple-time titleholder Adriano Moraes to claim the vacant ONE Flyweight MMA World Title at ONE 172 in March 2025.

With a solid promotional record of 9-4, "Little Piranha" has faced some of the best flyweights in the world, including MMA GOAT Demetrious Johnson, former champion Geje Eustaquio, and Australian ace Reece McLaren. His new challenger, however, is the most dominant champion in ONE's strawweight MMA division.

Pacio has been enjoying a string of wild victories over division's top-ranked contenders. In his most recent outing, "The Passion" annihilated interim champion Jarred Brooks to unify the ONE Strawweight MMA World Title and become the undisputed king of the division.

In another hard-hitting title bout, ONE Women's Atomweight MMA World Champion Denice Zamboanga will defend her belt against the fighter in red-hot form Ayaka Miura. The 34-year-old veteran secured her title shot by locking Juliana Otalora in her signature 'Ayaka Lock' submission.

Former ONE Women's Strawweight MMA World Title challenger moved down a division in pursuit of atomweight gold, securing four impressive victories over the likes of Itsuki Hirata, Macarena Aragon, and Indian wrestling powerhouse Ritu Phogat. With these performances, Miura has firmly proved her credentials.

Meanwhile, standing across from her is "The Menace," who tore through her previous four opponent like a knife through butter. Zamboanga captured the ONE Interim Women's Atomweight MMA World Title by finishing Alyona Rassohyna, and was later elevated to undisputed champion after Stamp Fairtex relinquished her strap due to injury.

These title fights are set to deliver explosive action from the start. One of the biggest events of the year, ONE 173 will be headlined by a ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Championship unification bout, with reigning champion Superbon taking on interim titleholder Masaaki Noiri.
