Abu Dhabi, November 27: Celebrating the end of the 2017 edition of the GP3 Series, the 2017 Dallara Awards ceremony took place on Sunday evening in Abu Dhabi. Indian racer Arjun Maini was amongst the top honours as he was awarded the GP3 Series-Best race win of the season award for his impressive win in Barcelona in early May.
The 19-year-old Haas F1 Development Driver created history with his win at Barcelona by becoming the first ever Indian to win in the GP3 Series with his stellar victory in round 1 of the championship. This was also his first win in the GP3 Series.
With a good showing at the recently concluded Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, Arjun ended the GP3 season in the ninth position with 72 points and two podium finishes to his credit.
