Formula 1 Marks 75th Anniversary with Spectacular 2025 Season Launch at The O2
Formula 1 ushered in the 2025 season in grand style with its first-ever official season launch event at The O2 in London. Marking a historic moment for the sport, all 10 teams, 20 drivers, and their Team Principals came together for an unforgettable night that blended motorsport, entertainment, and fan engagement.
With over 15,000 passionate supporters in attendance, the sold-out event celebrated the start of the new season while also commemorating F1's 75th anniversary. Fans around the world tuned in via Formula 1's YouTube live stream, which attracted an audience of 4.6 million, while the hashtag #F175 became a global trend on social media.

One of the evening's most anticipated highlights was the unveiling of the 2025 liveries from all competing teams, including Red Bull, Mercedes, Ferrari, McLaren, Aston Martin, and Williams. Fans were treated to exclusive insights as drivers and team principals took the stage to share their expectations for the upcoming season.
The event, hosted by comedian and actor Jack Whitehall, kept the energy high with his signature humor and charisma. Music performances elevated the atmosphere, with Machine Gun Kelly delivering an electrifying set, country star Kane Brown captivating the audience with his unique sound, and British pop legends Take That closing the night with their iconic hits "Greatest Day" and "Rule The World."
The event featured groundbreaking production elements, staying true to F1's reputation for innovation. The O2 showcased its largest-ever LED screen, extending across the venue, while a hidden garage-style door introduced each team's drivers in a dramatic reveal. Suspended cars, dynamic lighting effects, and a flying LED screen added to the visual spectacle, making the launch an unforgettable experience.
The creative force behind the event was Brian Burke of BrianBurkeCreative, in collaboration with Stufish Entertainment Architects, DX7 Design, and 1826. Burke, renowned for orchestrating the Las Vegas Grand Prix ceremonies, once again delivered a high-caliber production that pushed the boundaries of live sports entertainment.
The star-studded event drew notable figures from entertainment and sports, with Idris Elba, Gordon Ramsay, and Jerry Bruckheimer spotted among the distinguished guests.
With the 2025 season officially underway, anticipation now turns to the opening Grand Prix in Australia, scheduled for March 14-16. Reflecting on the event's success, Formula 1 President & CEO Stefano Domenicali expressed his enthusiasm for the season ahead:
"Tonight was an amazing event and a huge success. As a sport we did something together that has never been done in the history of F1 before.
