Lewis Hamilton believes his achievements with Ferrari should be evaluated over several years, not just the initial weeks of his debut season. The seven-time world champion transitioned from Mercedes this year and currently ranks seventh in the drivers' championship after a mixed start. Despite winning the sprint at the Chinese Grand Prix, he was disqualified from the main race, with fifth place in Bahrain being his best result so far.
Hamilton trails his teammate Charles Leclerc by 12 points and is already 90 points behind championship leader Oscar Piastri. Meanwhile, Ferrari is 152 points behind McLaren in the constructors' championship as they approach the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. This race marks the beginning of a triple-header over the next three weekends.

Hamilton remains firm that these three consecutive Grands Prix won't determine his progress with Ferrari. "I don't put it all on these three races," he stated. "If we were to have three bad races, hopes would still remain alive. I don't believe that will be the case, but I'm just saying we don't pin it to one race."
The British driver emphasises that success should not be measured by a short span of racing or even a single season. He suggests evaluating their achievements at Ferrari after several years together. "Let's talk at the end of my career here at Ferrari, at the end of a few years here at Ferrari, then let's talk about what we've done," he remarked.
Hamilton views these initial months as foundational steps towards future goals. He believes that only after a few years can they truly assess whether they have been successful. These early stages are merely paving stones for where they aim to go.
