Lewis Hamilton expressed disappointment over not securing pole position for the Las Vegas Grand Prix, despite qualifying 10th. The Mercedes driver topped both practice sessions on Friday and set the fastest time in Q2. However, a mistake in Q3 and a track limits violation led to his lap time being deleted. "I should have been on pole but I'm not, so it is what it is," Hamilton told Sky Sports.
Hamilton's teammate, George Russell, claimed pole position, leaving Hamilton to reflect on his performance. "Congrats to George," he said. "The car felt different in Q3, and the stability was not there for some reason. But I had it in all the other sessions." Despite starting further back, Hamilton remains determined to make the most of the race.

Meanwhile, Lando Norris from McLaren will start sixth on the grid, just behind Max Verstappen. Norris needs to outscore Verstappen by at least three points to keep his championship hopes alive heading into the Qatar Grand Prix next week. Despite acknowledging the challenge ahead, Norris remains committed to giving his best effort.
Norris commented on his situation: "I will do everything I can. That's what I'm here to do. I'm not going to give up 'til the end even if chances are extremely thin." He acknowledged Verstappen's strong position but remains focused on performing well in each race.
Norris trails Verstappen by 62 points in the Drivers' Championship standings. Verstappen leads with 393 points while McLaren holds a 36-point advantage over Ferrari in the Constructors' Championship. Reflecting on the season, Norris said, "Do I wish it could have gone a bit further? Sure. But the race was lost in the first races of the year when Max got too far ahead."
Norris remains optimistic about future opportunities and is proud of McLaren's achievements this season. "Be optimistic and look ahead to what we can achieve," he added. Despite acknowledging Verstappen's likely championship win, Norris continues to focus on delivering strong performances.
