Hamilton warns McLaren team to get their act right to win F1 championship

By Super Admin

London, Apr 5 (ANI): Formula One ace Lewis Hamilton has asked his McLaren team to get their act together if they want me to win the title.

The British driver gave a dazzling overtaking display to finish sixth from 20th in Sunday's Malaysian Grand Prix.

Hamilton said: "I could not ask for anything more getting sixth from 20th on the grid. But we can't afford to have races like that."

"It would be a lot easier if I had started nearer the front. We are leaving our drivers with a lot to do. We've been doing a great job, yet it could be easier," The Sun quoted him, as saying.

"If it all goes right, it could be dynamite. We just have to push the guys, as this weekend has shown us we have the pace to fight for wins and the championship," Hamilton said.

Hamilton started 20th, three places behind teammate Jenson Button, who came home eighth, after both were kept in the garage too long as the team felt the rain would stop in qualifying on Saturday.

He was also sixth in Australia last weekend, when a chance of finishing runner-up to Button was wrecked after he was called in for an extra pit stop.

"The last two races we have lost a lot of points. But I believe we will get it right," Hamilton said.

McLaren boss Martin Whitmarsh said: "You win together, lose together. I think Lewis understands that. He could not have done a better race job." (ANI)
