Bengaluru, August 2: In a move hinted at a possible return to Formla One in future, former Renault driver Robert Kubica did testing at the Hungaroring circuit on Wednesday (August 2).

The Polish driver had a four-year stint in F1 before he switched to World Rally Championship.

The winner of 2008 Canadian Grand Prix, Kubica's F1 career ended after a crash at the one-off pre-season rally in Italy in 2011, in which his right forearm was partially severed.

His return to F1 for the first time since the horrific crash six years ago is seen a harbinger of his return to the glamourous sport next season.

Motor sports buffs welcomed his return to the paddock.

F1 posted on their Twitter handle.

After previously turning down opportunities to watch races, vowing only to return to the F1 paddock as a driver, Kubica looks closer to realising his dreams.
