Lando Norris Defends Lewis Hamilton's Move To Ferrari, Calls Doubts Silly

Lando Norris believes doubting Lewis Hamilton's capabilities at Ferrari is misguided. He highlights Hamilton's potential for success in the upcoming Formula One season.

Lando Norris has expressed confidence in Lewis Hamilton's move to Ferrari for the 2025 Formula One season. Hamilton, a seven-time world champion, surprised many by leaving Mercedes after 12 successful years. During his time with Mercedes, he secured six titles and set records for wins, pole positions, and podium finishes. Despite a challenging 2024 season, Hamilton remains a strong contender for an eighth title.

Norris believes Hamilton's transition to Ferrari is exciting and sees it as a unique opportunity. "I think it's cool what he's doing and what he's done and going to Ferrari. I think it's very special," Norris stated. He added that doubting Hamilton would be unwise given his track record and motivation.

Norris: Doubting Hamilton at Ferrari Is Silly

Hamilton's move to Ferrari marks a significant change in his career. The 2024 season was tough for him, finishing outside the top six for the first time and scoring fewer points than any year since 2013 with McLaren. However, his potential to win another championship remains high alongside competitors like Norris and Max Verstappen.

Norris had an impressive 2024 season himself, finishing behind Verstappen in the standings but achieving personal milestones. He secured his first four F1 victories, including a win in Abu Dhabi, placing him among the top 60 drivers in terms of wins. Norris also surpassed 1,000 career points with his best season performance yet.

Looking ahead to the new season starting with the Australian Grand Prix next month, Norris remains grounded. He acknowledges support from fans but emphasises staying focused without overconfidence or arrogance. "I'm definitely not coming in with any overconfidence," he said.

Reflecting on last year, Norris feels prepared and motivated to improve further. He aims to maintain a balanced mindset while embracing new challenges. "I'm finding new ways to motivate myself," he shared, highlighting personal growth as key to his approach this year.

Norris is optimistic about his prospects but recognises the difficulty of the upcoming season. He feels more ready than ever while understanding that each person must find their own path to success. His calm demeanour reflects readiness for what lies ahead in this competitive sport.

Hamilton's journey with Ferrari is anticipated eagerly by fans worldwide as they await how this new chapter unfolds for both him and Norris in Formula One racing history.
