Lewis Hamilton, a seven-time Formula 1 champion, led both practice sessions on Thursday night at the Las Vegas Grand Prix. This comes just two weeks after a challenging race in Brazil.
Hamilton had expressed doubts about completing the season's final races due to his performance there. He is set to join Ferrari at the end of the season.

"I didn't really want to come back," Hamilton admitted about his Brazil experience, where he struggled with his car's handling and described it as "undrivable" and "the bumpiest ride ever" after finishing 10th. On his team radio, he said, "If this is the last time that I get to perform, it's a shame it wasn't great, but I'm grateful for you."
In Las Vegas, Hamilton clarified his earlier comments, explaining his frustration with the Brazilian race. "In the moment, that's how I felt," he said. "I didn't really want to come back after that weekend, but I think that's only natural.
"It's frustrating when you have a season like this, which I'm pretty sure I won't have again, or at least I'll work towards not having again. It wasn't a great feeling in that moment but I'm here, I'm standing strong, and I'm going to give it absolutely everything for the last few races."
Hamilton demonstrated resilience by topping both practice sessions in Las Vegas. In the second session, McLaren's Lando Norris and Mercedes teammate George Russell followed him. Max Verstappen, who needs to finish three points ahead of Norris on Saturday night to secure his position, was 17th in the second practice.
During the opening practice session, Hamilton and Russell secured first and second positions respectively, with Norris coming in third. Verstappen managed a fifth-place finish for Red Bull in this session. These results highlight Hamilton's ability to rebound from setbacks and maintain competitive performance.
The Las Vegas Grand Prix practices have shown Hamilton's determination to finish the season strong despite earlier challenges. His upcoming move to Ferrari adds an interesting dynamic to his current efforts with Mercedes.
