Lando Norris has expressed that he is adjusting his driving style to maximise performance with his McLaren this season. Despite leading the drivers' championship by three points over teammate Oscar Piastri after four races, Norris feels he is not performing at his best. He won the Australian Grand Prix and secured podiums in China, Japan, and Bahrain.
Norris, 25, shared that adapting to the car has been challenging. "It's clear that there are things that have changed since last year," he said before the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in Jeddah. These changes have made it difficult for him to perform at his usual level. He emphasised that while he's not underperforming, he's not reaching his potential due to these adjustments.

In contrast, Oscar Piastri feels confident with the McLaren's performance. The Australian driver has won races in China and Bahrain and is satisfied with the car's pace. "The pace of the car has been everything I could ask for," Piastri stated. He praised the team's efforts in providing a competitive car and helping him extract its full potential.
Piastri expressed pride in their achievements so far this year. He feels content both on and off the track and aims to maintain this momentum. His positive experience contrasts with Norris's challenges, highlighting different experiences within the same team.
Norris remains hopeful about improving his performance as he continues to adapt to the car's demands. Meanwhile, Piastri's success showcases McLaren's potential this season. Both drivers aim to keep pushing forward as they navigate the challenges and opportunities of the current racing calendar.
