Ola electrifies MotoGP Bharat 2023 at Buddh International Circuit

By Neellohit Ray

Ola, the largest Indian producer of electric vehicles, made a phenomenal impression during the opening MotoGP Bharat 2023 event. Held at the Buddh International Circuit in Noida, the event witnessed fan fervour reaching fever pitch as they were introduced to the future of mopeds in the Ola motorcycle portfolio.

Ola Electric's strategic alliance with BIC is in line with MotoGP's dedication to sustainable undertakings. Ola's groundbreaking S1 scooters were adopted by the organisers for the competition.

Ola 600

These scooters served as a much-needed replacement for conventional ICE motorcycles, offering a helping hand in marshall support and other ground assistance activities, marking a first in MotoGP history.

During the event, Anshul Khandelwal, CMO of Ola Electric, expressed his enthusiasm about their collaboration with BIC. He stated that Ola Electric was proud to participate in such a crucial moment in Indian motorcycling history.

Anshul Khandelwal said, "The inaugural MotoGP Bharat will be remembered as a historic moment for Indian motorsport, and we are very happy to have been a part of this momentous occasion. Our collaboration with BIC couldn't have come at a better time, and we are extremely elated about the massive love our motorcycle portfolio has received at the MotoGP Bharat.

"Our portfolio reflects the motorcycle philosophy in true spirit and reimagines motorcycles in every aspect. We at Ola are determined to take indigenously developed innovations/products to a global scale, placing India firmly on the global EV and motorcycle map."

In response to global Electric Vehicle and motorbike demand, the company strives to broaden the reach of its indigenously produced inventions. Ola's motorcycle portfolio, featuring the Diamondhead, Adventure, Cruiser, and Roadsters, is a testament to the company's prowess in engineering and design.

Ola Diamondhead

The Diamondhead will be the company's flagship motorcycle. Straight & powerful lines and bold design choices help the Diamondhead look as if it is always in motion. Simplicity, form, and function co-exist in the design. The Diamondhead's minimalist design means that the rider is always focused on the pure riding experience. Even the main headlamp is located above the front bumper, hidden away, lending it a very stealthy, aerodynamic profile.

Ola Adventure

For the seekers of thrill and adrenaline, the Adventure is purposeful, strong, and sure-footed. Its tall, athletic, and upright stance brings an element of purity and clarity of its purpose and helps it look unique in a clutter of adventure bikes. The Adventure is all about conquering uncharted territory, being aware of the surroundings, and feeling one with the bike on the roads not taken.

Ola Roadster

Stepping away from the design language of a conventional motorcycle, the deconstructed look of the Roadster strictly demonstrates how the form is following function. Roadster also gets flowing elements around the charger cowling that makes it look playful, agile, authentic, and focused.

Ola Cruiser

With a laidback stance and sensual lines, the Cruiser is built to enjoy the open road and the freedom it brings. It looks mature yet ominous with dollops of sophisticated bodywork. The floating upper body connects with the rear section of the bike in a powerful manner giving it a tense side profile.

Ola aims to extend its reach within each of these categories in line with consumer demand for different models and price segments. With the reservation window now available, these motorcycles are expected to hit the market by the end of 2024.
