Sergio Perez won his maiden race with Red Bull as the Mexican dominated the Saudi Arabia GP 2023 in Jeddah on Sunday with a timing of 1:21:14.894 seconds to win his career's fifth grand prix with his teammate and two-time defending champion Max Verstappen finishing second.

Verstappen recovered from 15th place to fourth before safety car deployment allowed him to overtake Fernando Alonso and George Russell to climb to second place. Aston Martin's Alonso ended the race third but was later demoted to the fourth spot following a 10-second penalty, allowing Mercedes' Russell to take the third spot.
His teammate and seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton took the fifth spot behind Alonso. Ferrari's Carlos Sainz took sixth place ahead of his teammate Charles Leclerc, who was more than seven seconds behind his teammate.
The two Alpines took the eighth and ninth spots with Esteban Ocon close to two seconds clear of his teammate Pierre Gasly. Haas' Kevin Magnussen took the last Championship point while fending off AlphaTauri's Yuki Tsunoda.
Among DNFs, Aston Martin's Lance Stroll went out early in the race with a technical issue leading to a reduction in energy recovery. Williams's Alex Albon went out in the 27th lap due to brake issues.
