London, Dec. 19 (ANI): Ending all speculations surrounding his Formula One comeback, Michael Schumacher, has declared for the first time that he will make a sensational F1 comeback next season.
Four years after hanging up his helmet, the seven-times world champion has told former Ferrari boss Luca di Montezemolo that he wants to return.
"I spoke to him Wednesday and he told me there is a strong possibility but it's not 100 per cent decided. But it'll be good for F1," The Sun quoted Ferrari president Di Montezemolo, as saying.
Schumacher, 41, will be officially confirmed by Mercedes GP in the next few weeks.
Di Montezemolo quipped: "A guy called Michael Schumacher told us at Monza in September he'd renew his consultancy contract with us. It looked like his career would finish here."
"But then there's another one who looks like him, 40, 41 years old, German, same name and wants a new career," he added.
"It's possible this twin, with the same capability, determination and spirit, will drive for Mercedes next year!" (ANI)
