Vasseur Commits 2000% Support To Hamilton As Ferrari Faces Early Season Challenges

Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur has pledged unwavering support for Lewis Hamilton as they work to resolve early-season performance challenges. Following a disappointing finish in Saudi Arabia, Vasseur remains optimistic about Hamilton's potential and aims to improve car balance and tyre management.

Fred Vasseur, the Ferrari team principal, has expressed unwavering support for Lewis Hamilton amid his challenging start to the season. Hamilton ended the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in seventh place, unable to improve from his qualifying position. He finished 31 seconds behind Charles Leclerc, who secured third place. Currently, Hamilton is seventh in the drivers' standings, trailing leader Oscar Piastri by 68 points.

Hamilton has openly shown frustration with his performances since moving from Mercedes to Ferrari. Describing his race in Jeddah as "horrible," he acknowledged the difficulties he's facing. Despite these struggles, Vasseur remains optimistic about Hamilton's potential. "I will be 2000% behind him," Vasseur stated, emphasizing his commitment to supporting Hamilton and finding solutions to improve his performance.

Vasseur Backs Hamilton During Ferrari's Struggles

Vasseur believes that adjusting the car's balance is crucial for better results. He noted that both Hamilton and the team are encountering issues with the car's balance and tyre management. However, he is confident in the car's potential and is determined to address these challenges collaboratively with Hamilton.

This season, Hamilton achieved notable success in China by securing sprint pole and victory. His best qualifying result was also recorded during that weekend when he placed fifth. When questioned about Hamilton's fluctuating form, Vasseur dismissed concerns of a dramatic decline.

"It's not dramatically," Vasseur remarked. He pointed out that only five races have been completed so far and cautioned against sensational headlines. "At the end of the day, we are in competition," he explained, highlighting that fluctuations are part of racing.

Vasseur emphasized that ups and downs are natural in competition. He stressed that neither highs nor lows define championship status immediately. The focus remains on continuous improvement and addressing current challenges.
