Max Verstappen expressed satisfaction with the enhancements made to his vehicle after securing pole position for the Miami Grand Prix. He aims to leverage this advantage in the main race. The 27-year-old outpaced Lando Norris by a mere 0.065 seconds during qualifying, marking his third pole of the 2025 season, despite Norris clinching victory in the earlier sprint race.
Verstappen noted, "It's been a great qualifying. We improved the car a tiny amount as well, which helped me to basically rotate it a bit better." He described how each qualifying session saw incremental improvements as he pushed closer to the limit. A minor slip at Turn 1 cost him some time, but he managed to secure pole position.

The Dutch driver acknowledged that while qualifying offers an ideal starting spot, race conditions present different challenges. He commented on the unpredictability of race pace and weather conditions, stating, "Let's see. Race pace, I don't know. We have to wait and see for the weather." Verstappen remains focused on maximizing his performance during the race.
Meanwhile, Mercedes' Kimi Antonelli will start third after a turbulent sprint race where he initially held pole position. An early collision with Oscar Piastri and a pit lane error affected his performance. However, Antonelli's best qualifying lap was only 0.002 seconds slower than Norris', showing notable progress.
Looking forward to the main event, Antonelli expressed confidence in his strategy for Lap 1 despite starting from a different position. He stated, "I am more clear on what I can do on Lap 1 but it's a different starting position." Antonelli plans to balance aggression with smart tactics and seize any opportunities that arise during the race.
The Miami Grand Prix promises excitement as drivers prepare for varying conditions and strategic battles on track. With Verstappen leading from pole and Antonelli eager to capitalize on any openings, fans can expect an engaging contest filled with tactical maneuvers and potential surprises.
