Formula 1 gladiator Lewis Hamilton is set to leave Mercedes and join Ferrari. The British star is set to leave Mercedes in 2025 and will be donning the Ferrari colours.
Hamilton, who has been with Mercedes since 2013, has won a plethora of titles with them. Hamilton has driven for the Silver Arrows for more than a decade and the two parties have won six drivers' and eight constructors' titles in these years.

Although Hamilton has been linked with a move away, he decided to extend his contract with Mercedes in the past. But now, the Englishman is set to put his pen on the papers for Scuderia Ferrari, and here are three possible reasons why-
Lewis Hamilton is penning the deal for Ferrari with the prospect of partnering Charles Leclerc at the team. The duo are known to have mutual respect and friendship and Leclerc's new long-term deal is said to have played a crucial part in Hamilton's decision.
Leclerc, the Monaco-born driver, has won 5 races and has graced the podium 30 times. And together along with Hamilton, Ferrari can become a powerhouse in the coming seasons. Hamilton's arrival will potentially end the stint of Carlos Sainz, who may have to seek pastures new.
Ferrari chairman John Elkann has always been a huge admirer for Lewis Hamilton. And Italian reports have mentioned that drove him to contact Hamilton for a potential move to the team. Hamilton has also got the added appeal of teaming with Leclerc, but Ferrari can provide the 39-year-old the final opportunity to get the record-setting 8th driver's title. Hence the move to Ferrari seems a pragmatic one. Red Bull's current team is too far ahead of any other rivals, hence it is kind of Hamilton's last resort.
