Born in Portugal to a French mother and a Guinean father, she moved to Sucy-en-Brie, France, in 2007. Her father lost his job when she was eight, prompting the family to relocate. She grew up surrounded by nature on her father's farm in Portugal and attended a multicultural school.

Her training schedule is rigorous, with three sessions per day lasting one to two-and-a-half hours each. She also includes physical preparation sessions. She trains at the CREPS regional training centre in Villeneuve-sur-Lot and often attends camps in Guadeloupe. Additionally, she can train at the national centre in Paris.
One of her most memorable achievements is winning silver in the women's KL3 event at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo. She also finished third in the women's KL3 200m A final at the 2024 World Championships in Szeged, Hungary, with a time of 47.15 seconds.
She aims to win gold medals at the 2024 and 2028 Paralympic Games. To achieve this, she focuses on refining her performance to consistently finish races in under 46 seconds. Her main competitor is British paddler Laura Sugar.
In 2021, she was named Knight of the National Order of Merit in France. This recognition highlights her contributions and achievements in canoeing.
Apart from canoeing, she enjoys drawing and playing music, specifically the guitar and violin. She speaks English, French, and Portuguese fluently.
