'We should've done better, Focus on Arsenal, India has a new Fan': Bruno Guimaraes after Brazil's Win against India

Arsenal midfielder Bruno Guimaraes feels Brazil should've done better against India, and acknowledges the focus is now back in the Premier League with Arsenal.

India suffered a 4-0 defeat to Brazil in their historic first senior international meeting at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata. The Blue Tigers started brightly and created early opportunities, but Brazil gradually took control.

Estevao opened the scoring in the 28th minute before Pedro doubled the advantage just before half-time. Samuel Lino then scored twice after the break, including a late stoppage-time strike, to complete the rout. India showed defensive discipline for periods but struggled to convert their chances, while Brazil's superior quality ultimately proved decisive. All India Football Federation

Bruno Guimaraes came on at half-time and provided greater control in midfield. He controlled midfield and played a key role in Brazil's build-up. The Arsenal midfielder also wore the captain's armband after Marquinhos got substituted. And after the match, the midfielder gave his thoughts on the game.

He made a move to Arsenal from Newcastle United this season, and is expected to play a key role for the Gunners. With Mikel Arteta's men eyeing to defend their Premier League title, Bruno's partnership with Declan Rice at the midfield will be pivotal for the North London club.

"Yes, it was a good game. We played well, of course, we should do better, and we could do better. It was nice to come to India and receive the affection of the fans. Great game, and now the focus is on the Premier League," Bruno Guimaraes said while replying to MyKhel's question after the match against India.

"India are a good team, and they played well. You've got a new fan now," the Brazilian further added when replying to another question.
