Pokemon Unite World Championships 2026: S8UL To Represent India After National Qualifier Victory
S8UL booked a place at the Pokémon UNITE World Championships 2026 after winning the India Qualifier. The team will represent India in San Francisco from August 28 to 30. The global event offers a USD 500,000 prize pool, listed as ~INR 4.7 crore. S8UL secured the national spot by finishing top in the qualifier.
The result made it the fourth time S8UL represented India at the global tournament. No other Indian team matched that record in Pokémon UNITE. Across five Indian qualifiers held so far, S8UL won four. The latest win again placed the roster among India’s leading contenders in the title.

The World Championships 2026 will run across three days in San Francisco. Teams will compete for shares of the USD 500,000 prize pool. The India Qualifier also paid out prize money to top teams. S8UL earned the largest share after winning the final series and taking the trophy.

The India Qualifier used a double-elimination bracket. Most matches were best-of-three, while the grand final was best-of-five. The S8UL line-up was led by captain Manmohan Singh (All Might). The squad also included Anklesh Satelkar (Novaa), Darshan Nate (Kai), Naitik Jain (Wolf), and Md Sarim Hasan (Qing).
S8UL opened with a 2-0 win over Anti Secure in the upper bracket quarterfinals. The team then beat GodLike 2-0 in the upper bracket semifinals. In the upper bracket final, S8UL defeated Team QML by the same 2-0 score. Those results set up a title clash against Revenant XSpark.
The grand final went the full distance, with five games played. S8UL edged Revenant XSpark 3-2 to clinch the qualifier title. The win delivered USD 15,000 (~INR 14.1 lakh) from the USD 25,000 (~INR 23.5 lakh) pool. The series also confirmed S8UL’s return to the world event.

Pokémon UNITE World Championships 2026 build-up and other S8UL results
The qualifier win added to S8UL’s results across multiple games this year. The BGMI roster won the BGMI India Series (BGIS) 2026 title. The MOBA Legends 5v5 team won the Rai Star x Gyan Gaming Cup. Grandmaster Nihal Sarin won the Menorca Open, and the VALORANT roster won VCSA Split 1.
S8UL also won the Kings Arise India City Tour - Mumbai in Honor of Kings. In Apex Legends, the roster achieved a Top 5 finish at the ALGS 2026 Championship. The organisation described it as the best Indian result in that title. These results arrived alongside the Pokémon UNITE qualification for the world event.

S8UL was also selected again as a Club Partner by the Esports Foundation (EF). The selection placed S8UL among 40 global organisations representing regions at the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026. S8UL will pursue qualification across 13 titles: Apex Legends, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), Call of Duty: Warzone, Chess, EA Sports FC, FATAL FURY, Fortnite, Honor of Kings, MOBA Legends 5V5, PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, Street Fighter 6, TEKKEN 8, and Trackmania.
S8UL now heads into the Pokémon UNITE World Championships 2026 as India’s qualifier winner again. The win confirmed a fourth appearance at the global tournament. It also followed a run of upper bracket wins and a 3-2 final. With the San Francisco dates set for August 28-30, S8UL will represent India against top international teams.
