FanCode Partners With MSSA To Broadcast Harris And Giles Shield For Mumbai's Young Athletes
FanCode, a leading sports platform in India, is set to broadcast key events organised by the Mumbai School Sports Association (MSSA). These events span various sports, including cricket, hockey, and football. This initiative follows a collaboration between Dream Sports Foundation (DSF) and MSSA, focusing on nurturing young sports talent at the grassroots level.
The Harris Shield, a renowned U-16 cricket tournament under MSSA, will be streamed on FanCode for the second year. This event is significant in Mumbai's cricket calendar. The final match will feature Anjuman-I-Islam Allana English School against Modern English School Chembur from December 16-18 at Brabourne Stadium.

Besides the Harris Shield, FanCode will also stream the Giles Shield. The platform aims to support emerging athletes by offering exposure through its broadcasts. Notably, the Harris Shield has been instrumental in shaping cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar and Rohit Sharma during their formative years.
Yannick Colaco, co-founder of FanCode, expressed enthusiasm about continuing to showcase amateur sports. He stated, "Last year, when we broadcasted Harris Shield for the first time, it was a landmark moment in Indian amateur sport. We are delighted to continue providing a platform to the next generation of superstars and extending this to sports beyond cricket."
In addition to cricket tournaments, FanCode will feature other MSSA-organised events such as inter-school athletics and hockey finals like The Aga Khan Hockey Cup. Football tournaments will also be accessible on this platform soon.
Fans can watch these events via FanCode's mobile app or TV app on devices like Android TV and Amazon Fire TV Stick. Other options include Jio STB, Samsung TV, Airtel XStream, OTT Play, Prime Video, WatchO and the FanCode website.
