In a shocking piece of news, a corpse has been found from the home of former India football captain late Pradip Kumar Banerjee, also known popularly as PK Banerjee.
As per reports from Bengali media, the body of Banerjee's house butler was retrieved by Kolkata police on Saturday from the late player's residence.

As per the initial investigation, MyKhel understands that the murder took place after a spat between the maid and the chauffeur of the late Indian legend.
Although this is the primary notion, the Kolkata Police will be initiating a thorough investigation on the whole matter.
PK Banerjee was a key member of the Indian national team during its golden era. He represented India in the 1956 Melbourne Olympics, where the team reached the semi-finals. However, his most notable achievement came in the 1962 Asian Games, where he played a crucial role in helping India win gold, scoring in the final against South Korea. He also captained the national team in the 1960 Rome Olympics and was the first Indian footballer to receive the Arjuna Award in 1961.
After retiring as a player, Banerjee became one of India's finest football coaches. He managed both East Bengal and Mohun Bagan, achieving great success with both clubs. As the coach of the Indian national team, he guided India to a bronze medal in the 1970 Asian Games.
For his immense contribution to Indian football, he was honored with the Padma Shri in 1990 and the FIFA Order of Merit in 2004. Banerjee passed away on March 20, 2020, leaving behind a rich legacy.
