Among these contenders, Free Fire is seen as the most likely competitor by 70%, followed by VALORANT at 20%.
The report also highlights that local themes, languages, and culturally resonant content are crucial for Indian games' global success. Seventy percent of respondents believe these elements will enhance player affinity both domestically and internationally.
Despite positive growth projections, the industry faces challenges such as inadequate infrastructure and reduced brand spending, each cited by 30% of respondents. Regulatory issues pose concerns for 20%, while low engagement outside metropolitan areas affects 10%. Notably, no respondents identified a limited talent pool as a challenge.
