Former India cricketer and IPL 2025 commentator Navjot Singh Sidhu has taken a fresh digital leap.
The former Indian cricketer and celebrated commentator has launched his official YouTube channel, Navjot Sidhu Official, in Amritsar, with a pledge to showcase a side of his life that has largely remained away from public discourse.

Sidhu called for a new announcement and invited journalists to attend a press conference at his Amritsar residence on Tuesday (April 29). On Wednesday (April 30), the former cricketer announced that he will be launching a new YouTube channel, which will have fresh perspectives.
Sidhu's new venture aims to be a window into his multidimensional journey - from cricket grounds to spiritual paths, from health routines to comic punches - all while consciously steering clear of political themes.
"This channel will tell you everything about my life - my journey in cricket, spirituality, health, comedy, lifestyle, and motivation - but not politics," Sidhu stated at the launch.
Unlike many of his contemporaries who pivot to YouTube with a singular focus, Sidhu is bringing a mix of genres to the table - recounting dressing room anecdotes, exploring wellness and spirituality, and sprinkling in his trademark 'Sidhuisms' for good measure.
Having worn many hats over the years - from being a solid opening batsman and an IPL commentator to reality show judge and politician - Sidhu now intends to become a digital storyteller.
"I started with cricket, then moved on to commentary, and later to comedy shows. All of this shaped who I am today. IPL commentary is a big part of my life - politics gave me satisfaction, but commentary gives me happiness."
Making his stance clear, Sidhu underlined that the channel will not touch upon any political matters.
"Only time will tell. But there will be no political content on my YouTube page. This is something I am doing for my daughter," he added.
While his wife continues her political engagements, Sidhu emphasized that his personal focus has shifted toward introspection, storytelling, and spreading positive messages. The former MP from Punjab is expected to start his shows in the coming days and it promises to be another intriguing and perhaps poetic journey for the viewers.
Recently, another former India player, Irfan Pathan, joined the digital world after being dethroned as a commentator in IPL 2025. Pathan was accused of being too critical on players and one senior India cricketer reportedly wanted him out, which resulted in Pathan's departure as a commentator.
The likes of Aakash Chopra, Harbhajan Singh, Virender Sehwag also have their own YouTube channel where they speak cricket and provide insights of the game regularly.
