IPL Bulletin For April 10: From Gujarat Titans Dominance Over Rajasthan Royals to Sai Sudharsan’s Consistence

By MyKhel Staff

The rivalry week of the Indian Premier League (IPL) season 18 continued with a near-lopsided contest as Gujarat Titans (GT) continued their winning streak against Rajasthan Royals (RR).

The Narendra Modi Stadium on Wednesday (April 10) night witnessed the home side led by Shubman Gill continue their dominance in all three departments as they extended their winning run to four in IPL 2025.

IPL bulletin for April 10

During the GT vs RR clash, three stand-out performers of the season in Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna and B Sai Sudharsan impressed again for Gujarat Titans, who bounced back from an opening game demoralising defeat.

GT may have taken the top spot on the points table, but their stay there could come to an end in less than 24 hours as fellow contenders Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru lock horns at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Thursday. Here is a look at the IPL Bulletin For April 10:

Gujarat Titans win four on the trot to go top

Sai Sudharsan and Prasidh Krishna starred as Gujarat Titans defeated Rajasthan Royals by 58 runs to extend their winning streak and go top of the standings in IPL 2025. This was GT's fourth straight win since their season opening loss to Punjab Kings at home.

Shubman Gill's GT responded to their opening game defeat with impressive wins against Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderabad before another dominant display against RR.

GT beat RR for sixth time in seven encounter

Gujarat Titans have had the number on Rajasthan Royals since they made their debut in the 2022 season, when they beat them in the title clash. GT has recorded six wins in seven outings against RR, whose only win in such encounters came during their visit to Ahmedabad in 2023.

Consistent Sai Sudharsan bags player of the match

Tamil Nadu batter Sai Sudharsan is turning into the next Mr. Consistent in IPL. The youngster recorded his third fifty of the season and moved into the second position in the Orange Cap race.

With his knock of 82, Sai Sudharsan moved to within 15 runs of leader Nicholas Pooran in the leading run-scorers chart for the season. He may not be known for his big-hitting like Pooran, but the rising Indian star has become an impossible code to break for opposition bowlers.

GT pace duo of Prasidh Krishna and Mohammed Siraj continue to impress

Krishna and Siraj have been keeping the run flow of the opposition in check. The Indian pace duo dominated the dot balls column in all their outings so far, and also have added to the wickets in every match.

While Prasidh keeps things tight in the middle and death, Siraj makes his presence felt in the powerplay. The duo have been key to GT's current run. Prasidh Krishna finished with figures of 3 for 24 in his four overs quota to take his wickets tally for the season to 8, while Siraj took his tally to 10 with figures of 1 for 30.

RR skipper Samson pinpoints reason for defeat

Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain Sanju Samson admitted his side let the game slip away during key moments against GT. This was RR's third defeat of the season, which ended their two-game winning streak.

The RR skipper pointed to lapses in execution with both bat and ball. In bowling RR gave away 15-20 runs extra, while Samson said the timing of his dismissal also was one of the reasons for his team to lose.

RCB's Jitesh Sharma taking inspiration from mentor Dinesh Karthik

Jitesh Sharma, who has emerged as RCB's latest finisher, credits his T20 revival to former player and the Bengaluru-based team's former designated finisher Dinesh Karthik. RCB mentor Karthik believes Jitesh has the potential to evolve into a genuine 360-degree player.

One of the things that excites Jitesh the most is executing shots he once believed were beyond his range, something he attributes to the team's consistent backing. Earlier in the week, he showcased his evolution with a blistering unbeaten 40 off 19 balls, powering RCB's death overs surge and playing a decisive role in their 12-run win over Mumbai Indians.

Delhi Capitals look to remain unbeaten

Having started their campaign with three straight wins, Delhi Capitals will look to remain perfect when they face Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Axar Patel's DC has so far registered home victories over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Vizag while their solitary away win came against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Chennai, a first win in nearly a decade at the Chepauk.

RCB aim for first home win of the season

Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be running high on confidence after impressive away wins against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Kolkata, CSK in Chennai and Mumbai Indians (MI) in Mumbai, but will be eager to correct their home record.

Rajat Patidar's RCB have been backed as early favourites to reach the playoffs. However, their worrying home record may come to haunt them in the end. In this season's first home outing, RCB were outplayed in all departments by Gujarat Titans to suffer their only defeat so far.
