By MyKhel Staff

Abhishek Sharma and Sunrisers Hyderabad deliver record-breaking night at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad as the first rivalry week of the Indian Premier League (IPL) season 18 enters the final day.

Sunrisers Hyderabad arrested a slide after Lucknow Super Giants registered a victory at their home ground on double-header Saturday (April 12), changing the dynamics in the early playoff race on the IPL 2025 points table.

IPL bulletin for April 13 2025

On unforgiving wicket in Hyderabad, bowlers paid the price as the night ended with a record chase at the venue, while one of the in-form pacers went for plent on a wicket which offered something for the bowlers in Lucknow, where the home side pulled off the second highest chase.

Yet to digest from the sixes that rained on Saturday, another battle of maximum awaits fans as Rajasthan Royals host Royal Challengers Bengaluru before Delhi Capitals welcome Mumbai Indians. Here is a look at the IPL Bulletin For April 13:

Abhishek Sharma's maiden IPL ton powers SRH past PBKS

Abhishek Sharma, who had two centuries to his name on the international stage, slammed his first ton in the IPL to power Sunrisers Hyderabad past Punjab Kings at the Uppal Stadium. The 24-year-old slammed 141 off 55 balls in SRH's second win of the season.

Sunrisers Hyderabad pull off second highest chase to stop losing streak

Thanks to Abhishek Sharma's maiden IPL century, Sunrisers Hyderabad pulled of the second highest chase in the Indian Premier League by going past PBKS' 245 with 9 balls to spare in Hyderabad.

Punjab Kings hold the record, having chased down 262 against Kolkata Knight Riders last season. This win also ended SRH's four-match losing streak. After opening the season with a power-packed batting display against Rajasthan, SRH went on a losing spree in the next four matches.

Abhishek Sharma dedicates record-breaking night to Orange Army

After scoring his first hundred in IPL, Abhishek reached for his pocket which had a note that read: "This is for the Orange Army", dedicating his record-breaking knock to the Sunrisers faithful.

Abhishek Sharma & Travis Head share second highest opening stand for SRH

The 171 runs stand between Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head against PBKS is the second-highest opening stand for Sunrisers in IPL after David Warner and Jonny Bairstow's 185-run stand against RCB at Hyderabad in 2019. This was also the second-highest opening stand against PBKS after the unbeaten 181 between Faf du Plessis and Shane Watson for CSK at Dubai in the 2020 IPL.

Mohammed Shami registers most expensive spell by Indian bowler

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and India pace veteran Mohammed Shami registered the worst-ever figures by an Indian bowler in the history of the Indian Premier League and overall second-worst. Shami achieved this unfortunate feat during his side's IPL match against Punjab Kings (PBKS) by conceding 75 runs in four overs and remained wicket-less.

The most expensive figures in the history of IPL is held by Rajasthan Royals (RR) pacer Jofra Archer, who went wicket-less for 76 runs in four overs against SRH at Hyderabad earlier this season, while the Indian record was held by his former teammate Mohit Sharma, who had given away 73 runs in 2024.

Lucknow Super Giants stop winning-streak of Gujarat Titans

LSG rode on Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran fifties to register their second successive win in the ongoing season, and in the process also ended a four-match winning streak of Shubman Gill's Gujarat Titans with a 6-victory at the BRSABV Ekana Stadium.

Nicholas Pooran continues six-hitting spree

Having smashed over 200 sixes in T20 cricket since 2024, Pooran continued with his six-hitting blitz in the IPL 2025, taking his tally to 31 in just 6 matches en-route to his match-turning 61 off 34 balls knock that included 7 maximums.

Gujarat Titans lose overseas star to injury

GT not only lost the match on Saturday (April 12), but the 2022 champions also lost a key overseas player for the remainder of the season due to injury. New Zealand all-rounder Glenn Phillips, who was yet to play for GT this season, suffered a groin injury and was ruled out of the tournament.

RCB and RR look to get back to winning ways

Royal Challengers Bengaluru go green on Sunday (April 13) as they look to get back in win column and continue their unbeaten away form after losing two in two at home. But the Challengers will be up against Rajasthan Royals, who also aim to get back to winning ways after losing their last match.

Sawai Mansingh Stadium will play hosts for the first time this season with a Battle Royal on the cards. SMS witnessed two centuries when RR and RCB locked horns at the venue last season as Jos Buttler's ton overshadowed Virat Kohli's hundred.

Perfect Delhi Capitals aim for fifth straight win when they host Mumbai Indians

In the second match of Sunday's double-header, five-time champions Mumbai Indians will look to stop high-flying Delhi Capitals in the first match of the season at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Axar Patel's side remain perfect so far, having won four in four with their latest victory coming in Bengaluru.
