As the Indian Premier League season 18 is all set to get under way, there is a lot of development and news surrounding the biggest cricket carnival in the world, starting with potential grand openings across all venues to teams practising for their campaign openers.

IPL 2025 will begin with defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) taking on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata, where several top Bollywood stars will dazzle the audience on March 22.

But as per recent reports, the fun doesn't stop there as the opening ceremony or a special event could be held across all the venues before the match begins. Also, one of the games at the start of April could be rescheduled after a request from the home association.

Plus, one IPL legend predicted his former side to go all the way, while a current captain aims to win an elusive for the side as teams prepare for the campaign. Here is a look at the latest updates around IPL:

BCCI likely to host opening ceremony in all 13 IPL 2025 venues

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is reportedly planning to host special ceremonies across all the 13 venues, starting with a grand opening ceremony featuring Bollywood superstars and celebrities from the music industry at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on March 22.
