PSL Match cancelled after Drone damages Rawalpindi Stadium, Viral Video exposes Pakistan Authorities

By MyKhel Staff

The ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) is in jeopardy and is set to cancel some of its proceedings amid the military escalation between India and Pakistan.

India came up with a befitting answer to Pakistan's horrible Terrorist Attack in Pahalgam on April 22, which claimed 26 innocent lives, 25 Indian and a Nepali tourist.

PSL Match cancelled after Drone damages Rawalpindi Stadium Viral Video exposes Pakistan Authorities

On May 7, the Indian army went on a rampage of air attacks, which dismantled several terrorist shelters across Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK). Places such as Kotli, Bahawalpur, and Muzzaffarabad were targeted by the Indian air force and around 100 terrorists were killed in the Operation Sindoor.

Pakistan also targeted 15 areas of India's North-West frontier in the wee hours of Thursday (May 8), but all of their attempts were neutralised by the Indian air defence systems.

On Thursday, a drone hit Rawalpindi badly, just hours before the PSL match between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings.

The latest reports from Pakistan confirm that the match in Rawalpindi has been cancelled, and the entire PSL may be shifted to Karachi. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is apprehensive about hosting matches in Lahore and Rawalpindi, two places adjacent to the India border.

As per the local reports, the drone in Rawalpindi crashed adjacent to the Rawalpindi Stadium and damaged a restaurant at the food street near the stadium. The local authorities have sealed the area and two injured civilians were taken to the hospital.

A Pakistan citizen also exposed the local Rawalpindi authorities with serious allegations against them. The video on social media could be seen exposing them and condemning the Pakistani police for lying to locals about the Rawalpindi Food Street.

Two England Players looking to Leave PSL

Amid the India-Pakistan conflict, England players are looking to leave the PSL. Sam Billings, James Vince, Tom Curran, David Willey, Chris Jordan, Tom Kohler-Canmore and Luke Wood are involved in PSL season.

According to a report, Willey and Jordan have communicated to Multan Sultans that they wish to leave PSL and return to country. The duo cited the elimination of Multan Sultans, who are already eliminated from the playoff race and have only one match left in the group stages.
