1. India say 'No' to visiting Pakistan for Champions Trophy

India have kept their stance intact regarding the travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. The BCCI has reportedly said NO to visiting Pakistan for the upcoming ICC tournament, slated to take place next year in Pakistan. India want to play in a neutral venue and probably play their matches in UAE.

2. ICC cancel schedule announcement amid Indo-Pak conflicts

ICC has cancelled their November 11 event for the ICC Champions Trophy amid the India-Pakistan dispute. The ICC wanted to formally announce the programme in Lahore on the day, but has now backed out due to the ongoing dissension between the two heavyweights.

3. Phil Salt registers unique record after century vs West Indies

Phil Salt has become the first player in T20I history to score three centuries against a single opponent. The England keeper scored a magnificent 103 off just 54 deliveries against the Windies on Saturday, thus becoming the only player to achieve the unique feat. The 28-year-old also completed 1000 T20I runs for England as the visitors took a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.

4. Pakistan secure historic series win over Australia

Pakistan ended their woes in Australia with a historic ODI series win against the Australian team on Sunday. They came from behind to win the series 2-1, showcasing excellent bowling display in the last two matches. A comprehensive 9-wicket victory in Adelaide followed with another dominating 8-wicket win for Mohammad Rizwan and his team, thus securing the series victory for the first time since 2002 in Australia. Haris Rauf was awarded the Player of the Series for his 10 wickets.

5. Lionel Messi's Inter Miami eliminated from MLS Cup Playoffs

Inter Miami's 2-3 defeat at the hands of Atlanta United meant Lionel Messi's team got eliminated from the MLS Cup 2024 playoffs. The defeat resulted a 1-2 series loss for Inter Miami, where the best of three determines the progress to the next stage. With the defeat, Inter Miami's season is over. They won the Eastern Conference regular season and the Supporters' Shield this season.

6. Man City suffer 4th straight defeat as Liverpool consolidate top status

A shocking 1-2 defeat at the hands of Brighton has put Manchester City in deep trouble. The Cityzens have now lost four matches in a row across all competitions, a low Pep Guardiola has tasted for the first time in his managerial career. To make matters worse, Liverpool won their match 2-0 against Aston Villa and now sit on top of the table with 28 points.

7. Women's Asian Champions Trophy Hockey matches rescheduled for Bizarre Reason

The Women's Asian Champions Trophy Hockey matches in Rajgir has been rescheduled to an earlier time due to insect infestation at the stadium, particularly under floodlights. The matches were supposed to start at 3 pm, 5:15 pm and 7:30 pm respectively, but now has been pre-poned by 2 hours 45 minutes to avoid unnecessary insect trouble.

8. Kusal Perera becomes highest scorer for Sri Lanka in T20Is

Sri Lanka's dashing batter Kusal Perera is now the highest scorer in T20Is for his country, as he surpassed TM Dilshan on Saturday. Perera scored 23 runs against New Zealand and now is the top-scorer for Lanka with 1904 runs in 73 matches. Dilshan ended his career with 1889 runs in 80 matches. Sri Lanka's wicketkeeper-batter Kusal Mendis is sitting third on the list with 1840 runs. The island country won the first of the two-match T20I series.

9. Nine-man East Bengal manage first ISL points against Mohammedan

East Bengal managed their first ISL points of the season against Mohammedan on Saturday. Despite going down to 9-man after 30 minutes, the Torch Bearers eked out a goalless stalemate at the Salt Lake Stadium. Nandha Kumar got the Red in 29th minute for violent conduct while Naorem Mahesh got the marching orders for dissent.

10. PKL 2024 Hyderabad leg ends with Puneri Paltan on Top

The Hyderabad phase of the PKL 2024 ended on Saturday (November 9) with Puneri Paltan on top with 30 points. The final day of action saw Telugu Titans and Bengal Warriorz registering important wins. Gujarat Giants are currently at the bottom of the points table with 7 points. The next phase in Noida will start from Sunday (November 10).
