It was supposed to be a joyous afternoon for them as they gathered around Chinnaswamy Stadium. They wanted to get a glimpse of their favourite stars and cheer for RCB, instead, they just lost their lives.
11 lives were lost in the wake of the victory celebration of RCB following their IPL 2025 triumph, an incident which has shaken the world. A devastating stampede took the lives of the youngsters, whose dreams ended on the cursed day, whose families' dreams got shattered.

Following public outrage and mounting political pressure, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah ordered strict legal action. An FIR was promptly registered under multiple sections, including culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
On Friday morning, Central Crime Branch officials arrested four individuals. Among them was Nikhil Sosale, RCB's Head of Marketing and Revenue.
Three executives from the Bengaluru-based DNA Entertainment Private Limited, the firm tasked with organising the event, were also arrested during overnight raids.
Nikhil Sosale, born on August 18, 1986, has been a key figure within the RCB management structure for nearly two years. A long-time employee of Diageo India, which owns United Spirits Limited (USL), the owner of the RCB.
A Double Major graduate from James Cook University, Australia, Sosale is considered the architect behind RCB's branding, fan engagement, and commercial partnerships. He has previously served as the franchise's Head of Business Partnerships and played a significant role in shaping RCB's off-field identity. Well-connected within cricketing and celebrity circles, Sosale is often seen in RCB's private boxes during home matches. He is also followed by Virat Kohli.
He was arrested at Kempegowda International Airport at approximately 6:30 am while reportedly attempting to travel to Mumbai.
Sources indicate that Sosale may have been involved in the planning of the parade, as well as communications between players and management. Eyewitness accounts and social media footage revealed that RCB's on-ground celebrations inside the stadium continued for hours after the stampede had occurred.
There were social media posts urging fans to join the Victory Parade, while the police had already rejected the parade concept due to fear of overcrowding and traffic issues. A section believes Sosale was culpable for posting them without confirmation.
