Yash Dayal accused of raping a Minor in Jaipur, complaint lodged against RCB Pacer

Royal Challengers Bengaluru pacer Yash Dayal has been thrust into another serious legal controversy as he has been booked in Jaipur for allegedly raping a 17-year-old minor during the IPL 2025, as per a report from Dainik Bhaskar.

According to the official complaint filed at the Sanganer Sadar Police Station in Jaipur, the victim came into contact with Dayal through cricket.

What is the Complaint against Yash Dayal?

The minor girl alleges that Dayal promised her a bright future in professional cricket and sexually exploited her over a span of two years, starting when she was underage. The latest incident reportedly occurred during an IPL 2025 match between Rajasthan Royals and RCB in Jaipur. During that time, the player has been accused of summoning the girl to hotel and raped her again.

The police have registered the case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, which is a stringent law aimed at protecting minors from sexual abuse. Given the gravity of the accusations and the involvement of a minor, the case carries severe legal consequences, including potential long-term imprisonment if Dayal is found guilty.

Yash Dayal already accused of Marital Rape

This case follows another earlier accusation against Dayal related to sexual assault, currently under trial at Allahabad. The recent complaint marks a troubling pattern and casts a shadow over Dayal's cricketing career.

An FIR was filed against cricketer Yash Dayal on July 6, 2025, in Ghaziabad under Section 69 of the BNS, alleging sexual exploitation under false promise of marriage. The complainant claims a five-year relationship beginning in 2019, during which Dayal allegedly misled and emotionally manipulated her. She submitted digital evidence and prior complaints before filing the FIR. On July 15, the Allahabad High Court stayed Dayal's arrest, expressing doubt over the plausibility of prolonged deception. Notices were issued to the state, police, and complainant. The matter will next be heard after submission of affidavits by all involved parties.

The left-arm pacer was part of the RCB team that won the IPL 2025. The 27-year-old has played 43 IPL matches and has picked up 41 wickets in his career.
