India To Host 2nd Asian Yogasana Sports Championship In 2025: Date, Venue, List Of Countries Participating 

The 2nd Asian Yogasana Sports Championship will take place in New Delhi from April 25-27, 2025, featuring athletes from over 20 countries. This event aims to elevate Yogasana's status as a competitive sport globally.

New Delhi, Apr 22: India is gearing up to welcome athletes from more than 20 Asian countries for the 2nd Asian Yogasana Sports Championship. This prestigious event is set to occur from April 25 to 27, 2025, at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi.

It marks a significant stride in promoting Yogasana as a competitive global sport. The championship is expected to attract 170 athletes, alongside 40 technical officials, and 30 team managers and coaches, highlighting the growing prominence of Yogasana on the international sports stage.

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, announced this event in collaboration with the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and Yogasana Bharat. This collaboration underscores the commitment of various stakeholders to foster Yogasana as a sport worldwide. The Opening Ceremony on April 25, 2025, will see Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, the Hon'ble Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, as the Chief Guest, further emphasizing India's dedication to enhancing Yogasana's global stature.

Leading figures in the Yogasana movement, including Shri Udit Sheth, Dr. Sanjay Malpani, and Dr. Jaideep Arya, addressed the press conference, sharing their visions and aspirations for Yogasana's future. He expressed his best wishes to the Indian National Team, highlighting the event's significance in the competitive sports arena.
