Besides being an athlete, Nico is also a health care professional, physiotherapist, and public speaker. She studied physiotherapy at the University of Gothenburg's Sahlgrenska Academy in Sweden. Additionally, she pursued visual pedagogy at the University of South-Eastern Norway from 2018 to 2023.

Family and Sporting Relatives

Nico's husband, Ben Goodrich, is a notable Para judoka. He won silver in the men's 100kg division at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo and bronze in the J1/J2 90kg category at the 2023 Parapan American Games. The couple has a daughter named Selma.
