An athlete and student, he began swimming competitively in 2012. Initially, he took up swimming as a recreational activity but soon found it to be a significant passion. "I wanted to do it for fun and it's turned into a big passion of mine. Swimming is a big part of my life and I like both the individual and team aspect it provides," he said.

His achievements at the 2023 World Championships were remarkable. He won four medals, prompting him to take a year off from his biochemistry studies at the University of California, Berkeley. He decided to focus on training ahead of the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.
He aims to compete at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris. "It's a big decision, delaying school to focus on swimming, but after worlds I saw that I have the potential to really do something in Paris [at the Paralympic Games]," he stated.
Before a race, he listens to music. This ritual helps him focus and prepare mentally for his events.
He has worked with the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF), an organisation that supports people with impairments by providing sporting opportunities. "Hopefully, I'll meet and interact with some kids who will be interested in learning about my experiences," he said.
Through his work with CAF, he hopes to inspire others to overcome challenges associated with impairments, whether through swimming or other sports.
