Nazar trains under the guidance of Mykhaylo Romankevych at both the club and national levels. Ivan Ivanytskyi also coaches him at the club level. Their combined expertise has played a crucial role in Nazar's development as an athlete.

For his achievements at the 2016 and 2020 Paralympic Games, Nazar received the Orders for Courage (third and second class) in Ukraine. These awards were presented by the President of Ukraine on 16 September 2021 and 4 October 2016, respectively.

Additionally, he has been honoured with the title of Honoured Master of Sport in Ukraine. This recognition was announced by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine on 28 December 2022.
