Big Cricket League Season 2 Set for Greater Noida in March 2026

Greater Noida is set to host a major cricket event as the Big Cricket League (BCL), known as the world's first Pro-Am cricket league, prepares for its second season. The tournament will be held at Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Stadium, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, from March 11 to March 22, 2026. With growing interest after the first season, the league is expected to bring strong cricket action and attention to the city once again.

Big Cricket League

The Big Cricket League follows a unique concept where international professional cricketers play alongside talented amateur players. This format creates a competitive space where emerging players get exposure while experienced players add quality and excitement to the matches. After the positive response to Season 1, the organizers aim to make Season 2 bigger, more competitive, and more engaging for fans.

Player Auction Builds Early Excitement

Before the matches begin, the player auction scheduled for February 16, 2026, is expected to attract attention. Franchises will carefully build their teams by mixing international experience with promising amateur talent. This process is important because balanced team selection often shapes how competitive the tournament becomes.

Season 1 featured international players together with Shikhar Dhawan, Suresh Raina, Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, Herschelle Gibbs, and Imran Tahir. Their participation helped build credibility for the league and attracted visitors. At the same time, Season 2 is expected to consist of more international participation, but no additional names have been officially announced yet.

Strong Support from Greater Noida Authority

The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) is supporting Season 2, and preparations are underway to ensure smooth execution of the event. Venue readiness, infrastructure planning, and overall arrangements are being handled to provide professional experience for both players and spectators.

Prerna Singh, ACEO, Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA), said:
"Greater Noida Authority actively supports initiatives that combine sporting excellence with regional advancement. Hosting Big Cricket League Season 2 at Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Stadium is a significant step toward positioning the city as a leading sports destination in the region."

League Vision and Growth Plans

Dilip Vengsarkar, League Commissioner, Big Cricket League, said: "We are proud to bring Season 2 of the Big Cricket League to Uttar Pradesh, with the support of the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA). As the world's first Pro-Am cricket league, BCL is committed to building a professional platform where emerging amateur talent competes alongside established international cricketers.

"Uttar Pradesh's strong focus on developing world-class sports infrastructure provides the ideal environment for this vision to thrive. Through this season, we aim to further strengthen the pathway for aspiring cricketers across the state turning "Ab Sapne Banenge Haqeeqat" into a tangible opportunity on the field."

Rudra Pratap Singh, Founder & President, Big Cricket League, said: "Season 2 marks a defining milestone for the Big Cricket League. The support from the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA), reinforces our vision of building India's most powerful Pro-Am cricket platform. With international stars joining hands with emerging amateur talent, this season will set new benchmarks in competitive cricket."

Season 2 Focus on Expansion and Quality

Puneet Singh, Chief Patron, Big Cricket League, added: "The response to Season 1 validated our model. Season 2 is not just an expansion it is an evolution. From the player auction on 16th February to the grand matches in March, every aspect of this season has been strategically elevated to deliver scale, quality, and impact."

Annirudh Chauhan, CEO & Co-Founder, Big Cricket League, said:
"Season 2 represents scale, structure, and serious cricketing ambition. With support from the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA), BCL is entering a new phase of growth. Our focus is not just on hosting matches, but on building a sustainable platform where global professionals and India's rising amateur talent compete at the highest level."

What Makes Big Cricket League Unique

Big Cricket League stands out because of its inclusive structure. It creates an opportunity where people from different professions, such as doctors, engineers, shopkeepers, marketers, lawyers, entrepreneurs, or farmers, can share the field with international cricket stars. For many participants, this becomes a rare chance to pursue their cricket dreams at a bigger level.

With matches starting on March 11, excitement is building step by step. The combination of professional experience, newbie ardour, and strong local help ought to make Season 2 an important step within the league's adventure. If arrangements are maintained easily, Greater Noida may further strengthen its function as a developing sports vacation spot while cricket lovers enjoy competitive and exciting matches.
