He was inspired by Swedish table tennis player Jan-Ove Waldner. His journey in the sport started as a winter activity when outdoor sports were not possible. Over time, playing with his father turned into a passion that shaped his career.

At the age of 16, he won a silver medal in singles at the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing. He participated as a wild card entrant and lost the gold medal match to Chinese player Chen Gang. He currently plays for START Zielona Gora in Poland. His club coach is Lucjan Blaszczyk, while Andrzej Ochal coaches him at the national level. He plays right-handed and has been associated with these coaches for several years.
