Qing Wu Biography

Maomao began her athletic career at the age of 18 in Heilongjiang Province, China. Initially taking up the sport as a hobby, she was selected and encouraged by the local federation for people with an impairment.

Education and Training

She pursued Administration Studies at the National University of Defense Technology in Changsha, China. Fluent in Mandarin, Maomao trains under national coach Zhang Heng and represents Heilongjiang Province.

Challenges and Injuries

In 2020, Maomao sustained a knee injury three days before the Tokyo Paralympic Games. Despite this setback, she won bronze in the women's F36 shot put. She also dealt with lumbar disc herniation and cervical spondylosis during the 2021 Chinese National Games for Persons with Disabilities.
