R'e took up taekwondo in 2007. She chose the sport because it suited her impairment and there was a club near her home. Her journey began at the Olympic Taekwondo Club Bonn in Germany, where she trains under coach Aziz Acharki.

Challenges and Achievements

In 2017, R'e faced a significant challenge when she sustained an injury during the +58kg category final at the World Championships in London. This forced her to retire from the competition. Despite this setback, she achieved a milestone by becoming the first female Para taekwondo athlete from an African nation to achieve a world number one ranking.
