Reece Langdon Biography

He began his athletic career at school tournaments and made his first state championships at age 15. In 2013, he moved from Goulburn, NSW, to Canberra. There, he trained in the 200m and 400m events alongside non-Para athletes. By 2016, he transitioned to middle-distance events and was classified for Para athletics in 2021.

Injuries and Setbacks

In February 2019, he sustained a stress fracture that kept him out of action between April and November of the same year. Additionally, he broke his elbow at age 15. Despite these setbacks, he has continued to train and compete at a high level.

Motivation and Inspiration

His love for running began on his family's farm in Goulburn. Training alongside non-Para athletes encouraged him to get classified for Para athletics. He enjoyed school athletics carnivals and cross-country events, which further fueled his passion for the sport.

Training Regimen

Currently, he trains with a group at Melbourne Track Club in Australia. His training is rigorous and consistent, reflecting his philosophy: "Success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out."
