Roma pursued a law degree at Kremenchuk National University in Ukraine. Additionally, he studied physical education and rehabilitation at Cherkasy National University. He speaks both Russian and Ukrainian fluently.

Roma is married to Yulia and has two children, Andriyko and Varya. His family has been a source of support throughout his career.

Career Highlights

Roma's career is marked by numerous achievements. He was named one of the three best Para athletes of the year for 2023 in the Cherkasy region of Ukraine. He received the Orders of Merit [third and second class] of Ukraine for his achievements at the 2016 and 2020 Paralympic Games.

In 2018, Roma had the honour of being the flag bearer for Ukraine at the opening ceremony of the European Championships in Berlin, Germany. He has also been awarded the title of Honoured Master of Sport in Ukraine.

Coaching and Club Affiliation

Roma is affiliated with Invasport in Cherkasy, Ukraine. His personal coach is Ivan Kyrdoda. Roma's dedication to athletics extends beyond his own training as he also takes on coaching responsibilities.

Looking ahead, Roma aims to compete at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris. His inspiration comes from Polish shot putter Tomasz Majewski, whom he admires greatly.
