KPB Trust Women's Open 2025: Tatjana Maria Edges Linda Fruhvirtova In Semifinal Thriller
In a thrilling encounter at the KPB Trust Women's Open, top-seeded Tatjana Maria from Germany defeated Czech teenager Linda Fruhvirtova to reach the final. The semifinal between Maria and Fruhvirtova was a nail-biter lasting nearly two hours. The match swung back and forth until Maria capitalised on Fruhvirtova's errors in the final set. "It was up and down for both of us and a really tactical game. I’m super happy that I could win in the end," said Maria after her hard-fought victory.

Meanwhile, Leolia Jeanjean also secured her place in the final by defeating Sara Bejlek from the Czech Republic. Jeanjean triumphed in another intense match, winning 7-5, 5-7, 6-3. Both semifinals showcased high-quality tennis and kept spectators on edge throughout.
Maria initially took control of her match by breaking Fruhvirtova's serve twice to claim the first set comfortably. However, Fruhvirtova returned from a break with renewed energy, dominating the second set with powerful shots and precise winners.
In doubles action, Americans Jessie Aney and Jessica Failla emerged victorious after overcoming challenges mid-match. They defeated top-seeded Russians Amina Anshba and Elena Pridankina with a scoreline of 6-2, 4-6, 10-6 to claim the doubles title.

During the singles semifinal clash between Maria and Fruhvirtova, both players exchanged breaks early in the third set before Maria ultimately prevailed.
