3-day tennis coaching camp gets underway at Pune

Pune, Sep 8 (UNI) As many as twentytwo paddlers from India and eight from Sweden will be put through their paces in a three-day coaching camp that got underway at the newly created Shiv Chhatrapati Sports City Mahalunge-Balewadi, near here.

Maharashtra State Table Tennis Association Secretary General Prakash Tulpule said, in a release here today, that the camp is being held for preparation of Indian Junior Open World Circuit Table Tennis Championship to be held here from September 11 to 14. Noted Swedish coach Emanuel Christanssan has been designated as the chief coach for the camp, while the chinese coach Yin Wei will be the assistant coach, Mr Tulpule said.

Two Indian coaches - Mr Bhavani Mukherji and Mr Manoj Chauhan - have also been nominated to assist the two main coaches, Mr Tulpule said.
